Ravi - progress with Malabrigo DK

I thought I should update the amendments I have made to by ravi
I cast on 33 sts.  15 cm In order to make the wedge I placed the short row shaping after the icord
With 33 sts  there are 15 sts lace and 18 garter of which 3 are icord so I have 15 sts left in which to put my short rows.  This is what I have done for Wedge 1
short row shaping row 1  after 2 sts (so 13 knit)
short row shaping row 2 after 5 sts (so 10 knit)
short row shaping row 3 after 8 (so 7 sts knit)
short row shaping row 4 after 11 (so 4 sts knit)
short row shaping row 5 after 14 (so 1 st knit)

Next I increased in wedge 2 by 2 sts from 33 to 35 in row 3 and 9 in the garter sts near the icord
Wedge 3 increase 1 st 35  to 36 in row 7
Wedge 4  increase 2 sts  36 to 38  rows 3 and 9
Wedge 5 increase 2 sts 38 to 40 row 3 and 9
The shoulder now measures 22cms

I now plan to work either 5 or 6 wedges with no shaping before I start decreasing

Due to the differing number of sts I have to adapt the instructions for my short rows
Wedge 2 35 sts 15 lace and 17 garter plus 3 icord
Short row1 turn after 3 sts after icord  (so 14 knit)
Short row 2 after 7 (so 10 knit)
Short row 3  after 10 (so 7 knit)
short row 4 after 13  (so 4 knit)
short row 5 after 16  (so 1 knit)

Wedge 3 36 sts   15 lace and 18 plus 3 icord
Short rows as above with adjustment for extra sts evenly spaced

Wedge 5  40 sts  15 lace plus 22 garter  plus 3 icord  THIS WILL BE repeated until decreased wedges start
short row 1 after 5  (so 17 knit)
short row 2  after 10  (so 12 knit)
short row 3  after 14  (so 8 knit)
short row 4 after 17  (so 5 knit)
Short row 5  after 21 (so 1 knit)

Further measurements when I have completed more wedges!

Ravi

I have just started Ravi using Madelinetosh DK in tart from my stash.
I have made adjustments since I do not wish to have such a high neckline.  So Following my good friend Ilana of My Handmades   see http://bespokeknits.blogspot.co.uk/  I have cast on 33 stitches and followed the instructions for the smallest size.  I am using Japanese short rom shaping using safety pins and have started by short rows 2 sts away from the icord.
On the second wedge I have increased in row 3 and row 9

I have taken a picture of it at this stage.
